At the end of 6 September 2011 matches some of the teams has been eliminated from Group Asia. Singapore, United Arab Emirates and Indonesia has not been able to make a draw or win from their first 2 games and these 3 teams now cannot reach into world cup finals. There are total 4.5 spots are available for 43 Asian teams. 4 teams will qualify by playing Qualification matches and 5th team might qualify by intercontinental play-off. The intercontinental play-offs will be played between the following confederations:
- Asia
- South America
- North, Central America and the Caribbean
- Oceania
Intercontinental play-off Participants:
Asia: The Round 5 winner
South America: Fifth placed team
North, Central America and the Caribbean: Fourth placed team
Oceania: Winner
